There are principally two kingdoms on earth — the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. The kingdom of darkness is the kingdom of the devil, and it has to do with the sinful pleasure of this world, temporal or carnal things. But the Kingdom of God has to do with the domain and dominion of God, salvation and eternity with God,and virtues such as holiness, righteousness, peace, joy, etc.

The phrase seemed to catch some by surprise. Then recently, I was sharing stories of some people who had exhibited life change through the power of Christ in their life. Care more about the Gospel being shared than the methodology of sharing it — or whether a person walks the aisle of the church or sits in a coffee shop to have it explained to them. I hope we are a good option. Let us begin there. First Name required.
What does it mean to be Kingdom-minded?
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Those who do not know Christ, seek for temporary things. They look for a political kingdom because they want to secure meat, drink and clothes for themselves. We are not made to follow the blessings; God designed the blessings to follow us. Which kingdom do we want to come on earth? Are we confined to the false security that a political kingdom offers? Or are we focusing on expansion of the Kingdom of God in their lives? The church and its ministries must be in the redemption business.
As we journey with God in this life, I know this is a question that many believers grapple with. In Church circles we so often use the term Kingdom-minded. Do we really understand what it means? I believe it is much bigger than my small-minded self, yet it is a great adventure to discover this truth. Christ Himself said that we should first seek the Kingdom of God. We thus have to be Kingdom-minded. All of these are important, yet He commands us to seek something different: the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
