Sam White, public safety department chief in the city of Union, said the student, who is being charged as a juvenile, was taken into custody at Union High School without incident. He is being held in juvenile detention for a hearing in family court. There have been no other arrests, but the investigation is continuing, the chief said. Arthur, 33, told police on Feb. As of late Friday, almost 12, people had signed an online petition urging school district officials in the community in northwestern South Carolina to give Arthur her job back. The voyeurism charge relates to a law that makes it illegal, for the purpose of sexual gratification, to record or make a digital file of another person without his or her consent. Both charges are misdemeanors for a first offense.

The South Carolina student who allegedly took his teacher's cell phone and shared naked pictures of her with classmates was charged on Friday. The year-old, whose teacher Leigh Anne Arthur was forced to resign as a result of the ordeal, is facing computer crimes and aggravated voyeurism counts, according to WSPA-TV. The aggravated voyeurism charge comes from the boy allegedly copying and sharing Arthur's pictures, while the computer crime is in connection with him gaining access to her cell phone without permission. A forensic investigation by SLED on the juvenile's phone showed that Arthur's photos were in a password-locked file. Arthur, a year veteran, was told to step down from her teaching post by Union County school district bosses because she was at fault for keeping her cell phone unlocked. David Eubanks said in a statement. Evidence and statements indicate that the teacher was not where she should have been at the time the incident occurred. Arthur added that four of the photos from her cell phone have been printed and left in her mailbox. It don't make it anymore right.
